About The Position

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The Aurora Medical Center-Washington County -Day Surgery department offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment for healthcare professionals who value variety and patient-centered care. Staff get to work with a broad spectrum of surgical patients, including those undergoing orthopedic, gastrointestinal, general, ENT, urology, spine, podiatry, gynecological, ophthalmology, and pain procedures. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or within 6 months of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous surgical services experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of bedside inpatient nursing
  • Previous background with medical conditions along with medications
