About the position

The RN Clinical Nurse I is responsible for providing professional nursing care through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. This role operates under the supervision of a nursing leader and is committed to maintaining a safe work environment while ensuring clinical and professional competency in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or situation.
• Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or situation.
• Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
• Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
• Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with applicable legal or policy parameters.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
• Practice in a manner congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.
• Communicate effectively in all areas of practice.
• Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in nursing practice.
• Lead within the professional practice setting and the profession.
• Integrate evidence and research findings into practice.
• Contribute to quality nursing practice.
• Evaluate one's own and others' nursing practice in relation to professional standards and guidelines.
• Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required per policy guidelines.
• BSN preferred.
