About the position
The After-hours Hospice RN position at Agape Care Group is a full-time role focused on providing compassionate care to patients and their families during evening and overnight hours. The RN will serve as a patient advocate, ensuring quality care and effective communication among the patient, family, and hospice care team. This role emphasizes work/life balance and offers support from a 24/7 RN staffed Triage Department, along with opportunities for professional development and advancement within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to hospice patients during after-hours shifts.
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring quality care and effective communication with patients, families, and the hospice care team.
- Respond to patient needs and concerns during on-call hours from 5 pm to 8 am, Monday through Thursday.
- Collaborate with the local hospice team and 24/7 RN staffed Triage Department for support.
- Document patient care and maintain accurate records as required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current state license as a registered nurse.
- 2+ years of nursing experience in a clinical care setting, preferably in hospice care.
- Reliable transportation to travel to patient locations.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, move intermittently, and lift at least 25 lbs.
Nice-to-haves
