About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Great River Health Systems involves delivering comprehensive patient care in the Medical Care Unit. The role requires utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with other healthcare team members. The RN will provide high-quality care to diverse patient populations, including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, telemetry, and psychiatric patients, and may be required to float to other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
• Interact effectively with patients, their significant others, and other health team members.
• Provide high-quality care to various patient populations including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, telemetry, and psychiatric issues.
• Float to other departments to meet patient care needs.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) minimum or currently in the last semester of nursing school.
• Valid licensure/certification/registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa or currently in the last semester of nursing school.
