About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Pulmonary will provide high-quality patient care and support within a multidisciplinary team. This role emphasizes service excellence, comprehensive assessments, and effective communication with patients and families. The RN will be responsible for developing and implementing care plans, delegating nursing tasks, and acting as a resource for other staff members. The position requires a commitment to patient advocacy and professional growth, ensuring that care is patient-centered and culturally respectful.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessments to establish and evaluate a plan of care.
- Delegate nursing tasks when appropriate and supervise their execution.
- Create and implement dynamic teaching plans based on identified patient needs.
- Act as a resource for other staff members and collaborate with the healthcare team.
- Document patient care accurately and completely.
- Engage with patients and families to develop individualized action plans for care.
- Participate in patient care conferences and educational programs.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN licensure in Minnesota.
- Current RN licensure in Wisconsin within two months of hire.
- Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Strongly demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
