About the position
A healthcare system in Southern New Hampshire is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients with multi-system issues in a safe and therapeutic environment. The nurse will engage with patients and families, collaborate with healthcare staff, and perform nursing and medical interventions with sound judgment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed, step-down unit.
- Gather and interpret data through history taking and physical assessments and plan interventions to meet patients' needs.
- Document care provided and the patient's progress toward desired outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about the plan of care and how to manage their care after discharge.
- Administer medication to patients as directed.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN license.
