The Registered Nurse - Pre-Op/PACU position at MedHQ involves providing comprehensive care to patients before and after surgical procedures. Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients pre-operatively and post-operatively.
- Prioritize pre-op patients and prepare them for surgery through proper assessment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in IV insertion.
- Monitor patients post-operatively and develop discharge plans according to unit standards.
- Educate patients and their families for safe discharge from the facility.
Requirements
- Current licensure in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS Certification.
- ACLS Certification within six months of hire date.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- 1 year of critical care or recovery room experience.
