About the position
The RN coordinates patient care with multi-disciplinary team members to facilitate health promotion and continuity of care in a cost-efficient manner. Provides direct nursing care to individual patients and assists patient family as directed by the nursing and medical plan of care utilizing the nursing process and according to the standards and guidelines established by professional nursing organizations. The RN communicates with the patient, family, and multi-disciplinary team members to provide up-to-date information, promote effective coping behaviors, and evaluates the patient's response to implemented care. Patient populations cared for include, newborn, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care with multi-disciplinary team members.
- Facilitate health promotion and continuity of care.
- Provide direct nursing care to individual patients.
- Assist patient family as directed by the nursing and medical plan of care.
- Utilize the nursing process according to established standards and guidelines.
- Communicate with patients, families, and team members to provide up-to-date information.
- Promote effective coping behaviors.
- Evaluate the patient's response to implemented care.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Wisconsin.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certified for Critical Care units.
- TNCC and ENPC completion within 12 months of hire.
- Advanced Certification preferred.
- Meets health requirements.
- 6 months to 1 year Critical Care experience in either ED or ICU preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- BSN preferred.
- Advanced Certification preferred.
