About the position
The Registered Nurse in Ortho/Spine at Williamson Health is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, coordinating assessments, treatments, and patient education. Responsibilities
- Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients upon admission.
- Plan individualized patient care based on identified problems and needs.
- Conduct patient teaching and plan for discharge and post-discharge needs.
- Administer medications and solutions safely according to hospital policies.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reassess patient conditions and modify care plans as necessary.
- Accept charge responsibilities and assign staff based on patient needs.
- Facilitate staff development and maintain a therapeutic environment.
Requirements
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee.
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Basic arrhythmia and ACLS certifications within 6 months for specific units.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months for float pool and critical care units.
- Experience in adult medical surgical patient care delivery or pediatric patient care delivery preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- At least one year of emergency experience preferred for Adult Emergency Room.
- PALS certification within 6 months for pediatric roles.
