We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Oncology team in Middleburg Heights, OH. The Oncology RN will play a critical role in providing specialized care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, ensuring physical and emotional support throughout their journey. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients, including those receiving chemotherapy, radiation, and other treatments.
  • Administer medications, blood products, and cancer treatments while monitoring for side effects and adverse reactions.
  • Assess, monitor, and document patients' conditions, including pain levels, vital signs, and response to treatment.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, side effect management, and self-care strategies.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Offer emotional support and resources to patients and their families, addressing concerns with compassion and sensitivity.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in patient advocacy and promote an environment of hope and healing.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of oncology, medical-surgical, or related nursing experience.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and handling is preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and handling is preferred.
