About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital is a professional caregiver responsible for the comprehensive care of patients. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, utilizing the nursing process alongside technology, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based practices. The RN will coordinate care with other health team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position is designed for new graduates who have recently completed nursing school, passed their NCLEX, and have less than one year of RN experience. New Grad RNs will participate in a one-year nurse residency program that supports their transition from classroom learning to practical caregiving. This program includes 72 paid clinical hours, webinars, simulations, case studies, and quarterly in-person meetings to enhance their skills and confidence in the nursing field. The RN will work 36 hours per week with varied shifts, and the base pay starts at $35.70 per hour, which may increase based on previous experience. The anticipated start date for this program is November 6th, with recruiter phone screens beginning in June and manager interviews in July. The role requires a current RN license in the state of practice and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this position. The RN will be expected to engage with patients, care providers, and visitors, particularly in emergency situations, requiring quick and accurate responses to spoken information and alarms. Physical requirements for the role include the ability to see and read information, operate monitors, and manipulate complex equipment with precision. The RN will frequently lift and transfer patients, navigate crowded environments, and may need to stand for extended periods. The job also includes the responsibility of documenting patient care and accessing necessary information through computer use. Intermountain Health is committed to fostering a culture of wellness and offers a generous benefits package to support the well-being of its caregivers.
