About the position

Valley Hospital Medical Center, located in the heart of Las Vegas, is an acute care and teaching hospital that has provided high quality healthcare to residents of Southern Nevada since 1972. Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
  • Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
  • Oversee and guide employees that are under supervision.
  • Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/ or equivalent. BSN preferred.
  • 1 - 2 years acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course.
  • Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Current ACLS Certification.
  • Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
  • Must comply with hospital based competencies regarding blood-borne pathogen exposure, age specific care and patient safety.
