About the position
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong background in medical-surgical nursing, focusing on providing high-quality care to patients in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy procedures as needed
- Manage airways and provide respiratory support
- Maintain accurate medical documentation
- Assist in acute pain management for patients
- Utilize Cerner system for patient charting
- Engage in case management for assigned patients
- Assist with patient lifts and transfers
- Conduct spinal taps when required
- Perform esthetic laser treatments as necessary
- Apply ICD-10 coding principles to patient diagnoses
Requirements
- Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques
- Experience in airway management
- Strong medical documentation skills
- Knowledge of acute pain management protocols
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
- Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical: 1 year (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- RN (Required)
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in case management
- Ability to lift and transfer patients safely
- Competency in performing spinal taps
- Knowledge of esthetic laser treatments
