Responsibilities
- Provide quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care.
- Incorporate emotional support and education with medical and nursing care.
- Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients upon admission.
- Plan individual patient care based on identified problems and needs.
- Document patient care accurately and timely.
- Reassess patient's condition and modify care plan as needed.
- Accept charge responsibilities and assign staff appropriately.
- Maintain a healing and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
Requirements
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- At least one year perinatal experience preferred.
- Certified Lactation Consultant preferred.
- NRP within six months of hire.
- ACLS certification or agree to obtain within six months of hire.
- Level I, Level II and fetal monitoring within 1 year of hire.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in perinatal healthcare delivery.
- Ability to function in stressful situations.
- Ability to return to work within 1 hour when on call.
