About The Position

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is seeking a FULL TIME Registered Nurse for their Inpatient Surgical unit. This position offers up to a $15,000 bonus, with $7,500 for New Grad RNs. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The RN also focuses on coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and professional performance standards such as ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, resource utilization, and environmental health. Direct Care RNs are required to have BLS within 90 days of hire. The position involves assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overall patient care responsibility. The team emphasizes exceptional teamwork to ensure the best patient care. Requirements

  • RN Degree: RN Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN
  • RN License valid to work in the State of Virginia
  • BLS within 90 days of hire (for Direct Care RNs)
