About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) at The Christ Hospital Health Network is responsible for providing high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practices. The RN works collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure patient-centered care, adhering to ethical standards and hospital policies. This role emphasizes leadership, professional development, and continuous evaluation of nursing practices to improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct holistic assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with patients and families.
- Provide evidence-based nursing care while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Educate patients and families about their care and treatment plans.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Document nursing processes accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the growth of peers and colleagues.
Requirements
- Current RN License in Ohio
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification within 6 months of hire in step-down and ICU areas
- Master's degree in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice preferred
- 11+ years of nursing experience preferred
- Experience in ICU or similar settings
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required within 5 years of hire for new nurses
