The Registered Nurse position at the Gastroenterology Physicians Clinic involves providing professional nursing care under the supervision of physicians. The role focuses on ensuring quality patient outcomes and efficient care throughout the continuum of care for various patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to all patient populations under the direct supervision of the physician(s).
- Work collaboratively with team members and providers to ensure efficient and quality patient outcomes.
- Interpret physicians' instructions and apply standard nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Educate patients effectively using good oral and written communication skills.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited state-approved school of nursing.
- Current MS RN license or temporary permit (valid for 90 days), or Compact license.
- Standard nursing principles, practices, and procedures knowledge.
- Ability to interpret physicians' instructions and operate patient care equipment.
Nice-to-haves
- One (1) year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care setting, outpatient, or physician clinic setting.
- Basic understanding of computer operations and keyboarding, including electronic medical records.
