About the position
As a Registered Nurse (RN) at ScionHealth, you will be integral to the recovery process of chronic, critically ill, and medically complex patients in our specialty hospitals. This role involves providing both direct and indirect patient care, utilizing the nursing process to ensure effective planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient needs. You will collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement nursing care plans, while also communicating critical changes in patient conditions to relevant medical staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation.
- Develop nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff as necessary.
- Communicate changes in patients' clinical conditions with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.
- Participate in the discharge planning process.
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing as Registered Nurse / RN or Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program as a Registered Nurse / RN.
- Current state licensure as Registered Nurse / RN.
- BCLS certification is required.
- Minimum six months as a Registered Nurse / RN with Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- ACLS certification preferred.
