About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - ER for a 13-week travel assignment in Herrin, IL 62948. This role involves providing professional nursing care to SIH patients, assessing their needs, and establishing a compassionate environment for emotional, psychological, and spiritual support. The nurse will collaborate with the multidisciplinary health care team to plan and implement patient care, provide health teaching, and utilize clinical judgment to manage changes in patient condition. Responsibilities also include accurate documentation, contributing to policy development, supervising licensed practical nurses and unlicensed personnel, advocating for patients, completing required education, and floating to other units as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1-year minimum experience working in ED.
  • Must have Associate, Diploma, Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Nursing.
  • Must have Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
  • Current CPR/BLS Card required.
  • Must obtain Current ACLS card & PALS card within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required).
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • TNCC (within 1 year of hire or residency graduation) desired.
  • ECRN (within 24 months of hire of residency graduation) desired.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing professional nursing care for SIH patients.
  • Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
  • Establish a compassionate environment to provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patient and families.
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
  • Provide in health teaching and counseling to promote, attain, and maintain the optimum health level of patients.
  • Demonstrate ability to use clinical judgment in conjunction with critical thinking to recognize, act upon, and report changes in patient condition.
  • Complete, accurate and timely documentation in patient medical record.
  • Provide input the development of policies and procedures to support patient safety and quality of care.
  • Supervision and delegation responsibilities of licensed practical nurse and/or unlicensed assistant personnel.
  • Serve as an advocate for the patient by communicating and collaborating with other health service professionals.
  • Timely completion of required education, competencies, and licensures.
  • Float to other nursing units within competency level.
