About the position

The Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care Supervisor at Essentia Health is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Family Practice department. This role includes staffing, developing and implementing workflows, and providing input on policies and budgets. The supervisor will also lead nursing staff, advocate for patients, and ensure high-quality patient care and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the assigned department including staffing and workflow processes.
• Provide direct nursing leadership and support nursing staff development.
• Advocate for patients and ensure high-quality patient care.
• Skillfully assess patients' health and respond to interventions.
• Provide treatments, education, and counseling to improve patient self-management skills.
• Support continuous quality improvement efforts in all areas of care and service.

Requirements

• 2 years of nursing experience in a related specialty or ambulatory setting.
• Demonstrated leadership ability in a nursing context.
• Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
