Responsibilities

  • Provides professional nursing services to patients, clients, and staff in chronic as well as acute care settings.
  • Performs nursing assessment, diagnosis, treatment & evaluation of residents.
  • Provides continuous care of patients through assessing, evaluating, and implementing processes to assure appropriate patient care and outcomes.
  • Accurately prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician and other providers.
  • Provides pre and post-operative care.
  • Triages calls from staff and handles routine concerns and emergencies.
  • Communicates with Physician and follows through on orders as appropriate.
  • Review lab values and consult reports.
  • Provides formal assessments, documentation, and progress notes.
  • Assists with patient ADLs (activities of daily living).
  • Arranges for and conducts nursing clinics and classes; teaches individuals and groups about health promotion and disease prevention.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming.
  • Associate's Degree (typically in Nursing).
  • 0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN.
  • 3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN (if applicable).
