About the position

The Regional Vice President (RVP) for Mid Market at HealthJoy is a pivotal role focused on driving sales growth within the employee benefits broker community. This position requires a proven sales contributor who can build a territory, manage sales cycles, and close business effectively. The RVP will formulate and execute strategies to maximize sales, ensuring a buyer-centric approach while fostering long-term relationships with brokers and employers. The role demands adaptability, creativity, and a strong commitment to achieving sales objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a sales territory focused on the employee benefits broker community.
  • Drive sales cycles and close business with mid-market employers (100+ employees).
  • Formulate and execute strategies to maximize sales growth in the assigned region.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales objectives, including monthly, quarterly, and annual booking targets.
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with brokers and employers.
  • Utilize Salesforce to track opportunities, leads, activities, and forecasts.
  • Conduct presentations and articulate the HealthJoy value proposition to C-suite executives.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure effective cross-company engagement.
  • Engage in local and out-of-town travel for meetings and presentations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in a sales position, preferably in employee benefits or healthcare.
  • Demonstrated success in broker channel sales with a track record of acquiring new partnerships.
  • Experience selling to mid-market employers (100-3K employees) is a plus.
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in HR technology, PEO, healthcare navigation, or healthcare data analytics.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
