About The Position

Trystar is seeking a motivated and driven Regional Sales Specialist - West (California & Nevada) to join their team. This remote role requires travel and focuses on driving revenue and building customer relationships within the critical power industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the industry, a hunter mentality, and experience collaborating with 3rd party manufacturing reps. Responsibilities include achieving sales quotas, managing customer relationships, and driving demand through effective territory management. Success in this role depends on the ability to uncover customer needs, articulate the value of Trystar's solutions, and close deals, requiring a blend of sales skills, technical knowledge, and a results-oriented mindset. This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager, Strategic Accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a strong track record of success
  • Deep understanding of the design-build & bid-spec construction market
  • Experience in both direct and independent manufacturers’ representative sales
  • High level of personal initiative, energy, and ownership of business results
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com CRM, Excel, PPT, Word and other common business software tools
  • Willing to travel >70% of time

  • Candidate must be based in his/her given sales territory

Responsibilities

  • Manage a sales territory by building and maintaining customer relationships, closing deals, and collaborating with 3rd party reps within a designated territory.
  • Achieve assigned sales quotas for revenue and potentially other metrics like units sold.
  • Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Monitor and analyze the competitive landscape within the territory, identifying opportunities and threats.
  • Prepare accurate and insightful sales reports to track performance, identify trends, and inform future strategies.
  • Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with MFG Reps to drive demand within the territory, performing ride-a-longs, lunch & learns, and providing deep technical expertise and training.
  • Provide quarterly rep assessments, utilizing Trystar’s playbook tools to evaluate capabilities and gaps, making recommendations to Manager.
  • Navigate the sales process from initial contact to closing deals, ensuring all stages are completed efficiently, and maximize Trystar’s ability to win business.
  • Identify and qualify sales leads through prospecting and market research activities.
  • Uncover and understand the specific needs and challenges faced by clients within the territory.
  • Present and tailor product or service offerings to directly address the identified needs of clients.
  • Provide deep knowledge of our products and their capabilities to effectively address customer needs through technical presentations, demos, etc.
  • Close deals with clients, effectively setting customer expectations to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Demonstrate effective utilization of Salesforce.com CRM, effectively managing a sales funnel and providing actionable feedback on customer interactions, market trends, and expected demand.
  • Attend tradeshows, customer events, regional association meetings, and corporate engagements on Trystar’s behalf.
