About the position

The Regional Sales Manager, Commercial at Maxeon is responsible for building and managing channel relationships within the Eastern Region, focusing on driving sales through distributors and installers. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a strong background in sales and a deep understanding of the photovoltaic (PV) industry. The position is home-based and involves significant interaction with various internal functions to achieve sales targets and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Build the Maxeon Commercial Partner channel by adding new Partners (distributors & installers) each quarter.
  • Show new Partners how the Maxeon Advantage can increase their sales and revenue.
  • Train and enable distributor and installer teams with Maxeon sales tools, ensuring effective communication of Maxeon's advantages.
  • Work to increase the Maxeon share of account with each Partner.
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual new partner targets and partner sales targets.
  • Enter into Salesforce and track all Partner solar sales opportunities throughout the region, maintaining a clean and accurate sales pipeline.
  • Recommend and implement sales strategies aimed at increasing market share within the commercial distributed generation segment.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of market trends, regulations, and tariffs relative to the solar industry, particularly for their region.
  • Ensure compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety standards, as well as Manufacturing Quality standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in PV or a closely related industry
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a track record of hitting and exceeding targets
  • Experience selling a premium product or service
  • Strong business acumen with excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel up to 60%
