About the position

The Regional Sales Associate is responsible for driving retention and growth of current accounts within a designated territory. This role involves supporting sales strategy, analyzing data, and managing customer interactions to enhance sales efforts. The associate will work closely with Regional Sales Managers and National Account Managers to identify market expansion opportunities and support strategic decision-making through data analysis and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive retention and growth of current accounts within a designated territory.
  • Support sales strategy and analyze data to manage the sales pipeline.
  • Conduct data mining to identify market expansion opportunities.
  • Participate in strategic account meetings with Regional Sales Managers and National Account Managers.
  • Create presentations and generate reports to guide strategy decisions.
  • Make proactive calls and emails to accounts in the designated territory.
  • Make recommendations on appropriate solutions after conducting research and analysis.
  • Participate in weekly meetings to provide updates and monitor pipeline management.
  • Utilize CRM system for effective sales management in the territory.
  • Handle quote submissions and manage quotes, tracking expiring and expired quotes.
  • Manage Co-op process from submission to credit memo issuance.
  • Process sample orders as needed.
  • Provide general assistance for events such as trade shows and sales meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales or sales support in a manufacturing, distribution, or similar environment.
  • Intermediate experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to comprehend and discuss mechanical and technical products.
  • Demonstrates persistence, problem-solving skills, and integrity.
  • High motivation, energetic, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in a fast-paced and high-volume work environment.
  • Proactive self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience utilizing business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau and Power BI).
  • Experience utilizing JDE systems or similar ERP systems.
