About the position

The Regional Risk Manager at Nations Roof is responsible for overseeing safety and risk management programs across multiple locations within the NE region. This role emphasizes creating and maintaining a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and proactively mitigating risks to protect employees and the company's reputation. The position involves regular travel to job sites, conducting safety inspections, leading training sessions, and collaborating with management to implement safety policies and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly monitor and visit job sites to conduct thorough safety inspections of personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Provide on-the-spot coaching to co-workers and field employees to correct unsafe behaviors and conditions.
  • Lead and mentor safety supervisors in investigating accidents, documenting incidents, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with managers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and lead training sessions on safety topics.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and review safety-related data to identify emerging risks.
  • Oversee the development and execution of safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor safety performance metrics and propose new safety initiatives for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain training logs, certifications, and other safety-related records.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (verbal and written) preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in the commercial construction industry, focusing on safety and risk management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Safety, or a related field required.
  • OSHA 500 Certification (active and in good standing).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring teams and influencing positive safety outcomes.
  • Expertise in risk management with the ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.

Nice-to-haves

  • Commercial roofing experience is highly preferred, but not required.
