About the position

The Regional Quality Manager for DSD is a pivotal role within Keurig Dr Pepper, responsible for providing Corporate Quality support to the DSD region specifically for Cold Beverage Manufacturing locations. This position will collaborate closely with a partner Regional Quality Manager (RQM) and will oversee several key sites including Jacksonville FL, Ottumwa IA, Northlake IL, Tucson AZ, Vernon CA, and Sacramento CA. The scope of this role may expand to include additional locations as necessary, particularly to cover absences or vacations, and may be adjusted based on directives from the Senior Director of Cold Beverage Quality or the Regional VP for DSD. As a direct report to the Senior Director of Cold Beverage Quality, the Regional Quality Manager is accountable for the development and implementation of strategies, systems, and programs that site leaders and quality teams will execute to meet the objectives of the US Refreshment Business Unit and the DSD Regional goals within the KDP Supply Chain. This role is crucial in ensuring that the DSD region provides safe food and beverage products, adhering to the standards set forth by the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), six sigma quality performance, and compliance with all relevant FDA, EPA, and OSHA regulations, as well as Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) requirements. The position requires significant travel, with expectations of up to 50% to provide necessary support to the various DSD locations. The Regional Quality Manager will play a key role in ensuring that all quality assurance and food safety systems are not only developed but also executed and continuously improved upon, thereby maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in the production of beverages.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Corporate Quality support to the DSD region for Cold Beverage Manufacturing locations.
  • Collaborate with a partner RQM for the DSD region and specific sites.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies, systems, and programs for site leaders and quality teams.
  • Ensure compliance with FSMA, six sigma Quality performance, and FDA, EPA, OSHA regulations and GFSI requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and submit compliance reports to regulatory agencies and key customers.
  • Develop and improve Quality Assurance and Food Safety Systems, Programs, Policies, and Procedures.
  • Enhance the Quality skills and competencies of manufacturing quality teams.
  • Oversee the execution of CAPA/RCCM/RCCA programs to drive site improvement in Quality and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Regularly audit and monitor Regional facilities for compliance with KDP Policy & Procedures, FSMA, FDA GMP, and GFSI guidelines.
  • Support site incident management regarding food safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Apply mathematical concepts and statistics for continuous improvement and statistical process control efforts.
  • Define problems, collect data, analyze quality data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Support new product, materials, and supplier qualifications within the CVP change process.
  • Serve as a technical resource on Quality matters including consumer/supplier complaints and KPI performance.
  • Work cross-functionally with other Regional Quality Managers and Corporate QEHS functions.

Requirements

  • Advanced understanding of GMP, HACCP, FSMA, Safe Quality Food Principles, and Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience in preparing and submitting compliance reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute Quality Assurance and Food Safety Systems.
  • Strong leadership skills to develop Quality competencies in teams.
  • Experience in overseeing CAPA/RCCM/RCCA programs for Quality improvement.
  • Ability to conduct audits and ensure compliance with various regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience in incident management related to food safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills to apply statistical methods for quality control.
  • Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience in supporting new product and supplier qualifications.
