About the position

The Regional Industrial Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by performing planned maintenance and addressing service calls for conveyor systems. This position requires a strong focus on mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of material handling equipment, while maintaining a professional image and effective communication with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
  • Complete planned maintenance routines with proper documentation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment (MHE) including conveyor belts, VFDs, motors, photo-eyes, and relays.
  • Maintain a professional manner in front of the customer to guarantee a professional image for the company.
  • Track and store department inventory.
  • Preview calendar and job tickets assigned by the office in advance before the day of the assignment.
  • Identify what is needed for the job and ensure preparedness for the assignment.
  • Communicate back to the office any questions to be prepared for the assignment.
  • Accept new duties and responsibilities when assigned.
  • Work well with other on-site technicians and subcontractors.
  • Perform walk-through inspections and report vital information on work-orders via email.
  • Turn in customer signed work-orders daily accounting for labor and travel.
  • Call the manager for assistance if a problem arises during customer production.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory onsite and keep an accurate inventory list.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with a strong focus on automated conveyor systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Basic computer knowledge with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and internet.
  • Basic math skills and reasoning ability.
