About the position

The Regional Finance Manager at Clean Harbors will serve as a key finance team member and business partner for the Project Services group. This role focuses on conducting profit and loss reviews, analyzing financial data, and collaborating with leadership to enhance business operations through high-quality financial analyses and tools. The position emphasizes a commitment to health and safety while fostering a friendly and fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform business unit profit and loss reviews by researching variances and recommending areas for improvement.
  • Review, reconcile, and maintain a variety of accounting and financial data to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Communicate and present financial results to Project Services Leadership, providing in-depth analysis of monthly results and insights into variances to Budget, Forecast, and Prior Year.
  • Establish a business partner relationship with the Project Services Management team for Finance and Accounting matters.
  • Oversee the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely reporting of results.
  • Research, prepare, and post Journal Entries.
  • Understand Project Services operations and collaborate with teams to create tools that improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Design and develop reporting around KPIs to highlight operational opportunities and drive action.
  • Manage ad hoc reporting and understand data in Oracle, WIN, and other systems to identify areas for improvement in reporting.
  • Create tools to gain better insight into results and KPIs, including revenue reports, pricing, report accuracy, and production metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Skilled in Financial Analysis.
  • Driven initiative-taker with attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work well and communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and adjust accordingly.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
