About the position

The Regional Business Development Director is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) to increase patient census and ensure a balanced mix of payers. This role involves collaboration with facility administrators, healthcare professionals, and community stakeholders to meet and exceed marketing goals while adhering to regulatory guidelines. The position emphasizes compassionate communication and ethical practices in patient interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement a marketing plan for skilled nursing facilities.
  • Collaborate with facility administrators to achieve census goals.
  • Submit a weekly calendar of scheduled marketing appointments to the administrator.
  • Make daily contact with acute care case managers, social workers, discharge planners, and physicians.
  • Manage patient family relationships and assist with admission paperwork.
  • Assess potential patients in local hospitals and address their inquiries about the facility.
  • Maintain a database of physician and case manager contacts.
  • Participate in local community events to enhance facility visibility.
  • Follow the operational budget and attend daily stand-up meetings.
  • Oversee inquiries from physicians and hospital discharge planners, responding to referrals promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with PDPM by maintaining proper documentation for new admissions.
  • Stay updated with Medicare/Medicaid regulations regarding admissions and discharges.
  • Report any occupational exposures to hazardous materials immediately.
  • Protect patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 - 5 years of marketing/admissions experience in healthcare.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including booster shots.
  • Previous experience in marketing or related fields.
  • Strong leadership qualities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in skilled nursing facilities (2 years preferred).
  • Experience in admissions (1 year preferred).
