About The Position
Transport Refrigeration, Inc. (TRI), your local Thermo King dealer in Rockford, IL, is hiring Transport Refrigeration Technicians. TRI is Wisconsin’s award-winning Thermo King dealership, providing sales, service, and OEM parts for transport refrigeration units, heavy-duty mobile A/C systems, and diesel-fired heaters. They partner with Thermo King, Eberspächer, Red Dot, and Mastercool, and are committed to customer service and team development, serving fleets of all sizes.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean background
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must own or obtain a toolbox with standard & specialty tools (gauges, meters, leak detectors, etc.)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willing to work overtime as needed
Nice To Haves
- Technical school education
- Thermo King Certi-Tech Certification (within 1 year)
- EPA 608 & 609 Certifications (within 1 year)
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain transport refrigeration units, APUs, cab A/Cs, and heaters
- Perform road service and join our on-call rotation (after training)
- Meet standard repair times and keep work organized
- Operate tools, hoists, and shop equipment safely
- Keep the shop clean, efficient, and professional
