About The Position

As a machine assistant at Southeastern Paperboard, Inc., you will be responsible for loading and unloading conveyor belts with loose or shredded paper/cardboard, learning and sorting material paper grades, operating in a safe and productive manner, and working with maintenance to improve machine reliability. This role is in a climate-controlled environment that can become very dusty, and requires continuous physical activity.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in a climate-controlled environment that is warm in the summer months and comfortable during cooler weather.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Should be comfortable working in an environment that can become very dusty.
• Should be able to lift between 50 and 75 pounds, repeatedly, without assistance.
• Must be able to stand, walk, twist and bend, carry, reach or work at/over the shoulder; bend, climb, push, and pull continuously to complete job tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in manufacturing, landscaping, or construction is preferred.
