About the position

Baptist Health is the largest healthcare system serving central Alabama, providing comprehensive hospital-based and outpatient services to nearly 60 percent of the residents in Montgomery, Autauga and Elmore counties. The position involves screening applications for clerical, professional, service, technical, and non-licensed nursing positions to refer qualified candidates. The role requires maintaining contact with department managers to determine recruiting needs, coordinating advertising for recruitment purposes, assisting with the selection of the best candidates, and coordinating employment, physical, and orientation for new hires. Additionally, the position provides input on recruitment and retention issues for assigned departments and answers employees' and managers' questions regarding policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Screens applications for various positions to refer qualified candidates.
  • Maintains contact with department managers to determine recruiting needs.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, management or related major; or equivalent experience.
  • Two years or greater hospital experience preferred.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, guests, and hospital personnel.
  • Ability to work from broad directions and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.
  • Must possess a driver's license valid in the State of AL and have an acceptable driving record.
