About the position
The Recreational Therapist-Neuro-PRN position at Collage Home and Community Rehabilitation Partners involves providing exceptional neurological rehabilitation services to patients in their own homes and communities. The role focuses on patient-centered care for individuals with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neuro or complex orthopedic diagnoses. The therapist will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to create integrated treatment plans that promote functional goals through creative and engaging recreational activities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, treat, and educate neuro-rehab patients.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate recreation activities.
- Assess patients' capabilities, interests, and barriers.
- Monitor patient progress and recommend program modifications as needed.
- Perform home assessments to assist patients with their transition to home and community.
Requirements
- Completion of Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation and CTRS designation is required.
- Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred.
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills are required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with families, professionals, and co-workers.
