The County of Riverside’s Human Resources Temporary Assignment Program (TAP) seeks to fill a Temporary Recreation Coordinator position to support the Parks Department in Riverside. The Recreation Coordinator will support and expand a variety of community-focused programs, including the Outdoor Equity initiative, free family events, fishing clinics, veterans-focused mental health events, and other public programs designed to connect residents with nature and recreational opportunities. This is an active, hands-on role that involves physical work such as event setup and teardown, often on Saturdays. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and around animals commonly found in park environments. The ideal candidate will provide great customer service, time management, troubleshooting, and organizational skills. The selected candidate will have prior experience in community events and recreational activities. Work Schedule: The Recreation Coordinator will work Monday–Friday 5/40 schedule and is expected to work every other Saturday. Occasional weekends, holidays, and evenings are required.
