About the position

The Receptionist at Thousand Hills Pet Resort plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for clients and their pets. This part-time position involves managing client interactions, handling reservations, and maintaining high standards of customer service while supporting the overall operations of the pet resort.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming clients into the facility and providing friendly customer interactions.
  • Answering phone calls and emails, and checking clients' pets in and out of the facility.
  • Taking detailed notes regarding pet information such as feeding instructions, medications, allergies, and behavioral traits.
  • Making reservations, managing waitlists, and processing new clients.
  • Forwarding complaints to the resort manager and advising on beneficial changes for customer relationships.
  • Maintaining office and customer standards and policies, and suggesting improvements to the Resort Manager.
  • Caring for office equipment and supplies, and reporting deficiencies to the manager.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service.
  • At least 1 year of receptionist or office experience.
  • Experience in the Animal Care Industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Mac Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, Evernote, Google Docs/Sheets, and online database management.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
