Receiving Associate

About the position

The position involves providing superior customer service and interacting positively with donors and customers. Responsibilities include promptly returning calls from prospective donors, scheduling donation pick-ups, assisting with direct sales calls to businesses and contractors in Chaffee County, screening donations, receiving donations at the designated drop-off site, creating efficient pick-up schedules for the ReStore Truck Driver, and ensuring compliance with store policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and interact positively with donors and customers.
• Promptly return calls from prospective donors and schedule donation pick-ups.
• Assist with direct sales calls to businesses and contractors in Chaffee County.
• Screen donations from individuals who want to donate materials.
• Receive donations from individuals at the designated drop-off site.
• Create efficient pick-up schedules and routes for the ReStore Truck Driver.
• Schedule and coordinate pick-ups from the donor to CCHFH ReStore.
• Make pick-ups to selected businesses and donors.
• Follow all store policies and procedures.
• Schedule and coordinate the maintenance of the ReStore vehicles.
• Ensure that all ReStore vehicles meet all CODOT regulations.
• Report on progress for quarterly reports and data as requested by management.
• Compile all donation receipts to individual records.

Requirements

• Able to work independently and under supervision.
• Experience with construction or building materials/hardware preferred.
• Routing/scheduling and/or logistics experience preferred.
• Ability to project a friendly and positive image of Habitat for Humanity.
• Comfort with making cold calls in person and by phone.
• Attention to detail and able to work with numbers.
• Knowledge of Habitat for Humanity - Chaffee County a plus.
• Knowledge of fair market values of new and used building materials.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Able to supervise volunteers with a wide range of skills and abilities.
• Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP and Office.
• Working knowledge of Chaffee County geographic area and roads.
