About the position

The Reading Interventionist at Proctor Elementary School is responsible for leading and coordinating reading curriculum and instruction for elementary students. This role focuses on developing lesson plans, collaborating with teachers, and assessing student progress to enhance reading skills among identified students.

Responsibilities

• Develops daily lesson plans for small groups of identified students that parallel and support classroom instruction.
• Meets regularly with classroom teachers to plan instruction and communicate and evaluate student progress.
• Works with classroom and special education teachers to manage, plan, implement and assess reading skills and instructional strategies.
• Maintains accurate records to demonstrate student growth.
• Guides teachers to collect and analyze data and develop action plans in response to determined student needs.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree and educator licensure required.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
