About the position
CONGRUENCE TUCSON is seeking a reliable and hardworking Ranch Hand to join our team in caring for our herd of 10 horses. As a Ranch Hand, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the ranch and ensuring the well-being of our animals. This position will require someone who is passionate about nature and can work outdoors in all types of weather. The ideal candidate will be organized and open to learning the process of the ranch chores as well as how to bring a calm and grounded energy to the animals. This role is essential for the daily operations of the ranch and contributes to the overall health and happiness of the herd. The Ranch Hand will be responsible for various tasks including feeding and caring for the animals on a daily basis, performing daily manure pick up, cleaning and filling troughs, and ensuring that hay troughs are clean and refilled. Additionally, the Ranch Hand will be responsible for overall cleaning of corral areas, hay barn, and feeding sheds. Monitoring the health of the herd and reporting any issues is also a critical part of this role. This position is part-time, with a specific focus on Wednesday mornings from 7 am to 10 am, but there are opportunities for more hours depending on the monthly schedule. The work location is in the Tucson Mountains West, providing a beautiful and serene environment for both the animals and the staff.
Responsibilities
- Feeding and caring for animals on a daily basis

Requirements
- Direct experience with horses
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to operate and maintain ranch equipment and tools
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
