About the position

A beautiful 170-acre ranch in Round Mountain, Texas, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Ranch Manager. This is a full-time, live-on-site position ideal for a responsible individual or couple who enjoys rural living and working with animals. The Ranch Manager will be responsible for overseeing the care and well-being of the ranch's animals, which include 20 cows, 7 dogs, and a large population of quail. The role requires a strong commitment to animal welfare and the ability to manage various tasks associated with ranch maintenance and operations. In addition to animal care, the Ranch Manager will perform general handyman skills, including maintenance and repairs on the ranch property. This includes lawn mowing and landscaping duties to ensure that the lawn is healthy and maintained, free of weeds, and equipped with functional irrigation systems. The manager will also care for flowers, hedges, trees, and a small fruit and vegetable garden, as well as maintain ranch fences and gates. The position also involves running various errands as needed for the ranch and assisting the owners with additional tasks to support their daily living needs. This role is perfect for someone who is self-motivated, has a strong work ethic, and enjoys a hands-on approach to ranch management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the care and well-being of 20 cows, 7 dogs, and a large population of quail.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs as needed on the ranch property.

Requirements

  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license.
  • Experience in animal care, landscaping, and general maintenance.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of tractors and lawn equipment.
  • Ability to live on-site and manage the ranch full-time.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated.
  • Ability to lift and carry large bags of animal feed.
