About the position
The Virtual Ramp Control Room (VRCR) Manager is responsible for managing, staffing, and supervising ramp control operations and all components of Searidge technologies and associated systems. This includes overseeing seamless panoramic video feeds, ADS-B data for real-time tracking, and various communication systems. The manager will also collaborate on developing and distributing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Contingency Operations Plans (COPs), coordinate gate assignments for airlines, and ensure proper staffing for the VRCR operations, which run seven days a week for 17 hours a day.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise ramp control operations and Searidge technologies.
- Ensure seamless panoramic video feeds and ADS-B data for aircraft tracking.
- Collaborate on and distribute SOPs and COPs.
- Develop and coordinate seasonal and daily gate assignments for airlines.
- Ensure adequate staffing for VRCR operations during the 17-hour workday.
- Serve as the VRCR Subject Matter Expert at coordination meetings.
- Recruit, hire, and train staff for VRCR operations.
- Lead the project for licensing new ramp control frequencies.
- Draft and implement SOPs, MOUs, and LOAs related to VRCR operations.
- Provide monthly invoices and maintain operational activity reports.
- Report equipment outages and coordinate maintenance requests.
- Attend monthly Airline Manager’s Meetings for schedule updates.
Requirements
- Experience in managing ramp control operations.
- Knowledge of Searidge technologies and systems.
- Ability to develop and implement SOPs and COPs.
- Strong leadership and staff management skills.
- Experience in recruiting and training staff.
- Familiarity with FCC licensing processes.
- Ability to prepare and maintain operational reports.
