About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Radiology Technologist at our Medical Center in Portland, OR. Schedules are available for 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts (Day, Evening, and Night). You will be an integral part of an acclaimed healthcare facility, working within a dynamic and highly skilled team in an environment that fosters collaboration and innovation. You will have the opportunity to grow and gain experience across a wide range of radiologic specialties, including surgical imaging, fluoroscopic and invasive procedures, as well as portable and outpatient imaging across various hospital departments such as surgery, critical care, and the emergency department. The role involves performing imaging examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing sophisticated imaging equipment, and considering individual patient needs. You will use clinical knowledge and judgment for proper positioning, radiation dose calibration, and patient treatment to produce optimal images, while adhering to ALARA principles for minimal radiation exposure.

Requirements

  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
  • Oregon Radiographer License upon hire, Or Oregon Radiographer Temporary License upon hire.
  • National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Performs imaging examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment.
  • Takes into account individual patients unique and/or age-related needs.
  • Utilizes clinical knowledge and judgment in regard for proper positioning factors, radiation dose calibration of technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal high-quality images.
  • Performs all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to patient and operator with ALARA awareness.
