About the position

The Radiology Tech II at French Hospital Medical Center is responsible for performing a variety of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures independently, demonstrating technical competence without supervision. This role requires the ability to make independent judgments and manage specific radiographic procedures, including angiography, cardiac catheterization, CT, MRI, and mammography. The position also involves maintaining workflow and problem-solving in the absence of the Diagnostic Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform all radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures at a technical level without supervision.
• Demonstrate competence in routine fluoroscopic and surgical x-ray procedures.
• Assume responsibility for specific radiographic procedures such as angiography, cardiac cath, CT, MRI, or mammography.
• Run the floor in the absence of the Diagnostic Supervisor, including managing work assignments and maintaining workflow.
• Utilize independent judgment and ingenuity in prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience in X-ray procedures.
• Demonstrated competence in all routine fluoroscopic and surgical x-ray procedures.
• 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist with certification in another imaging modality (CT, MRI, US, Mammo, NM, Angio/Cath) is acceptable if willing to work in both modalities.
