About the position

The Radiology Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the radiology department, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient departmental functioning. This role involves supervising staff, providing education and training, and managing equipment and supplies to meet departmental needs. The position also includes assisting the Director in policy development and implementation, as well as monitoring patient needs and turnaround times.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with PHI regulations.
  • Accepts supervisory responsibility for direct staff.
  • Educates, trains, and monitors performance for all direct reports.
  • Supervises and assists departmental operations on a daily basis.
  • Reviews equipment needs and supplies to meet the needs of the department.
  • Assists the Director in the development, interpretation, and implementation of departmental policies.
  • Provides technical assistance and direction to technical and ancillary staff.
  • Manages radiology staffing and exam rooms throughout the shift ensuring patient needs are met and monitors turnaround times.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited radiology technical program (required).
  • 2 years of experience in radiology (required).
  • AHA BLS certification at hire or obtained within 5 working days before assuming patient care (required).
  • ARRT certification (required).

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in a related field (preferred).
