About The Position
The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine of Rowan University is seeking a faculty member for a Radiology position. This is a full-time, 12-month academic position, with preference for the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Part-time applications will also be considered. The appointment can be on a tenure or clinical track, based on the candidate's qualifications and goals. The successful candidate will be a founding faculty member, instrumental in developing and delivering an integrated veterinary curriculum focused on organ systems. Clinical duties involve providing diagnostic imaging services for the SSVM teaching hospital, a state-of-the-art 50,000 square foot facility on the Glassboro Campus. This hospital offers primary and specialized care for various animals across New Jersey and surrounding states. Scholarly activity is expected to contribute to veterinary diagnostic imaging through research and knowledge dissemination, with the extent varying based on the appointment. Salary will be determined by the applicant's experience and qualifications. Rowan University provides a generous benefits package.
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent degree.
- Eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey.
- Board-certified or board eligible in ACVR or ECVDI.
- Completion of a radiology residency training program with board-certification (or board-eligibility), ACVR or ECVDI.
- Currently licensed in or eligible for licensure in NJ.
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated experience teaching veterinary students in a clinical setting, strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Play an integral role in the development and delivery of an integrated veterinary curriculum constructed around organ systems.
- Provide diagnostic imaging services for the SSVM teaching hospital.
- Advance the discipline of veterinary diagnostic imaging through the creation and dissemination of new knowledge, potentially through collaborative or independent research.
