About the position

The Radiologic Technologist - Medical Assistant position at CareNow involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced urgent care environment. The role combines responsibilities of a radiologic technologist and a medical assistant, ensuring efficient patient services and support within the clinic. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to patient care and will work collaboratively with a team to deliver exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities

  • Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
  • Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider's orders and update patient charts accordingly.
  • Collect patient history and document EHR appropriately.
  • Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
  • Assist with check-in/check-out processes, including auditing charts.
  • Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
  • Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist, ARRT Certification required.
  • General Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT) license in state of residency if required by the state.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of start required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
  • Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.
  • Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
  • Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
  • Must obtain and maintain state license (if required by the state) for Office Laboratory Assistant within 30 days of employment or promotion.

Nice-to-haves
