About the position
The Radiographic Aide I position at City of Hope is a full-time role focused on supporting the Nuclear Medicine department within the Women's Health Center. The aide will assist technologists and nursing staff in various tasks to ensure efficient patient flow and preparation for exams and procedures. This role is essential in providing compassionate care and facilitating a smooth experience for patients undergoing breast screening and diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Assist in verifying and accompanying patients from the waiting room to exam areas.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including contrast and metal screening, gowning, and positioning.
- Assist in procedure room preparation, including stacking linen, stocking supplies, cleaning and disinfecting equipment, and requesting EVS and linen services as needed.
- Coordinate patient transport and transport patients as needed.
- Manage supplies and linen to ensure exam rooms are ready for use.
- Facilitate efficient exam room turnover.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Prior customer service experience
