About the position

The Center for Allied Health Education is seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiation Therapy Instructor to join our dynamic team. This position is responsible for providing high-quality instruction and supervision in both clinical education settings and formal classroom environments. The ideal candidate will be committed to student success and professional development while maintaining a high standard of educational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on instruction and supervision to students, ensuring they learn and practice skills accurately and safely.
  • Demonstrate skills consistently and effectively, ensuring students receive clear and accurate guidance.
  • Supervise students during skill practice sessions, ensuring a supportive and educational environment.
  • Serve as a positive role model for students, exemplifying professionalism and ethical behavior.
  • Identify and escalate any concerns or issues to the immediate supervisor promptly.
  • Objectively evaluate students' skills during assessments and examinations.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, progress, and activities throughout the program.
  • Stay up to date with the program's goals and educational standards, ensuring alignment with institutional objectives.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to remain knowledgeable about advancements in the field and best practices in teaching methodologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical/occupational experience in radiation therapy.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
  • At least one (1) year of teaching experience, preferably in a healthcare education setting.
  • Active ARRT Registration RT(T) in Radiation Therapy.
