Emory University's Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a physician faculty member for an open-rank position (Assistant, Associate, or Professor). The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited residency and be board certified or in the process of becoming board certified by the American Board of Radiology. This role is situated within an academic environment that offers opportunities for engagement in clinical trials, health services/outcomes/policy research, translational biology, and medical physics research. Essential to this position is a commitment to residency education, the multidisciplinary care of cancer patients, and the delivery of quality and equitable care. The Department of Radiation Oncology operates with a tripartite mission focused on exceptional patient-centered care, educating future cancer specialists and researchers, and conducting groundbreaking cancer research. The department is recognized for its growth, high NIH funding, and comprises over 70 faculty across several divisions. Faculty are internationally acclaimed for their research and specialized care in areas such as pediatric oncology, brain tumors, head and neck cancer, lymphoma, breast, genitourinary, and lung cancer. The department serves patients across six sites in the Atlanta area, including the Emory Proton Therapy Center. This position offers a significant opportunity to join a large team dedicated to enhancing care quality in a major metropolitan setting. Winship Cancer Institute, Georgia's only National Cancer Institute–Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, coordinates cancer-related services across the university. Winship boasts over 680 members and substantial grant funding. The Emory University School of Medicine is also recognized for its expertise in infectious disease, neurosciences, heart disease, transplantation, orthopedics, pediatrics, renal disease, ophthalmology, and geriatrics.
