About the position

The Radiation Oncology position at Wellstar MCG Health involves providing high-quality patient care in the field of radiation therapy. Responsibilities

  • Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
  • Monitor patient responses to treatment and report any adverse reactions to the medical team.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about the treatment process and address any concerns they may have.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field.
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • State licensure as a radiation therapist.
  • Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in radiation oncology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced certification in radiation therapy specialties.
  • Experience with advanced radiation therapy technologies such as IMRT or IGRT.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
