About the position
The Radiation Oncology position at Wellstar MCG Health involves providing high-quality patient care in the field of radiation therapy. Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and report any adverse reactions to the medical team.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families about the treatment process and address any concerns they may have.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field.
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- State licensure as a radiation therapist.
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in radiation oncology.
Nice-to-haves
- Advanced certification in radiation therapy specialties.
- Experience with advanced radiation therapy technologies such as IMRT or IGRT.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
